About Me
I am a Child Therapist based in Melbourne with over 20 years’ experience supporting children’s emotional wellbeing.
My experience and qualifications include:
• Registered Child-Centred Play Therapist (Play Therapy Practitioners Association)
• Bachelor of Early Childhood Education (VIT Registered)
• Postgraduate study in Child and Adolescent Mental Health
• Current Master of Counselling studies (Australian Counselling Association member)
My work integrates child development, counselling, trauma-informed practice, and play therapy to support children using a clinically informed and developmentally appropriate approach.
My experience supporting children within supervised contact arrangements provides valuable insight into how these transitions can affect children emotionally.
Therapy sessions provide a safe and supportive space for children to process these experiences, express their feelings, and build a sense of stability and understanding during times of change.
A Calm and Supportive Therapeutic Playroom
Therapy sessions take place in our clinic in Macleod, which provides a warm, engaging, and child-friendly therapeutic environment.
The playroom includes a range of carefully selected toys, creative materials, and sensory resources that support children to express themselves naturally through play.
Play is a child’s natural language, and the playroom environment allows therapy to unfold in a way that feels comfortable and developmentally appropriate.
Within this space, children can explore feelings, build confidence, and develop emotional understanding in a safe and supportive setting.
Steady Ground Child Therapy supports families across Macleod, Heidelberg, Rosanna, Ivanhoe, Preston and surrounding Northern Suburbs.
